- It is non-magnetic, has excellent mechanical properties, and presents the desirable combination of high strength and good weldability under a wide range of temperatures.
- It is particularly resistance to attack by dry chlorine or hydrogen chloride, even at temperatures up to 650°C.
- Alloy 600 products have a typical Typical Tensile Strength of 550 MPa, Yield Strength of 240 MPa and elongation of 30%.
- The highest service temperature of this super alloy goes up to 2000°F and the lowest goes down to the cryogenic limits.
